Food Donations Still Needed!

Donations are still welcome for NYSP.

PAL is hosting the National Youth Sports Program (4-week day camp) on the campus of PSU July 7-August 1, 2008 and we need your help in filling the short fall for our daily breakfasts and lunches.  Due to increasing costs, the food service provider can not provide the meals at the state reimbursable rate, as a result PAL must make up the difference.  Your donation of milk, fruit, and veggies would be WELCOMED.  In addition, cash donations to purchase breakfast and lunch items are also accepted.

Options for donations include: 500 small bananas or apples; or 300 cups of fruit (like fruit salad or mandarin oranges); or enough watermelons to ensure 500-600 servings or 300 honeydew melon wedges or 1/4 cup servings of grapes for 300 kids; 500-600 cartons of milk; 250 cups of cereal or 250 waffles (and we need syrup) or 250 bagels or 250 muffins (small) or 250 slices of banana bread (2 oz slice); 300 corns on the cob or 75 cups of broccoli or 300 servings of 2 oz of salad or carrots

Do you know vendors who can help us with milk, fruit, veggies, and other staples? Aramark will work with PAL to weave these products into the meal and give us the matching reduction on the food costs for the day. This is an amazing thing for a food vendor to offer … and we really value our partnership with them.

Call Maura at 503-823-5786 if you can help.
